Properties and Applications
• Good Toughness
• High Ductility, easily bended
• Good resistance to TorqueGood resistance to Fatigue
• Good resistance to corrosion on surface, with Carburizing process
Distribution Formats
• AS ROLLED CONDITION
Hardening
• Carburizing – hardening process at temperature 860C-930C, Hardening substance used: oil. Hardness obtained after hardening 60 HRC
• Tempering temperature at 100C-200C. Hardness obtained after hardening at 58-62 HRC
Applications
Popularly used for parts of machinery equipment, which bear fair capacity of fatigue strength and wear occurrence between high usability, requiring good internal toughness, such as driven gear (output gear) or gear having constant rotation, shaft which is capable for not so high torques, pins, tools and parts for soil drilling, bearings with wear resistance
