Properties and Application
• Low-carbon steel with contents of nickel, chromium, and molybdenum
• Highly Resistant against tensile strength
• Used for parts containing high strain and possessing good resistance against shock
• Capable for crankshafts, cranks, gears, drive shafts, axle shafts, and main shafts
Distribution Formats
• AS ROLLED CONDITION
Hardening
• Hardening Temperature at 800C-850C. Hardening substance used: oil. Hardness obtained after hardening at 50-55 HRC
• Carburizing temperature at 850C-900C. Hardening substance used: oil. Hardness obtained after hardening 55-60 HRC
• Tempering temperature 150C-200C
Applications
Capable for machinery parts requiring high strength, for example, crankshaft, steering column joint, axles, cranks, gears, drive shaft, main shaft requiring high resistance against tensile strength.
